August 11, 2011

We stayed around Kage House, caught up on sleep, laundry and just enjoyed the day...walked down to the River where the flood wall is painted with "Mississippi River Tails" about 26 murals...then on another flood wall is what they call "Wall of Fame" which they have just as many murals on it of famous people...Mark Twain and Rush Limbaugh to name a few...it was a lovely day, the heat index was pretty intense, but the evening was very nice...we went to a farmers market and there was some Mennonites selling sugar-free pies, bread and cookies, so we got a little sugar-free cherry pie and some sugar-free and a little loaf of sugar-free banana bread, one tomato and some squash to BBQ...the squash here is nothing like our squash at home.
