Plumbing problems

it started with a leak in the copper pipe in the shower

right behind the 2x4

2 days later, we find this

soaked our bedroom carpet some

we cut out the padding, which was sopping wet

we then called our home owners insurance and they came out and brought fans and dehumidifiers...bathroom

it was so noisy...kitchen

they ripped up the bathroom floor

This fan was by far the nosiest

the cabinet between the refrigerator and the stove...had water under it

ripped up the kitchen floor all the way past the trash compactor

So yesterday an insurance person came out and accessed the damage and will give us an estimate of the damage...so we will see, it has been almost 2 weeks...we had the fans for 1 1/2 weeks drying out the places.  We ended up having to sleep in Heather's old bedroom, and are still going to Papa's and grandma's for showers.

Pioneer Day parade

My brother, Dennis, came down on Saturday morning for a visit, so he and I went to the Pioneer Day parade in Paso Robles, Dad had to work...It was a very beautiful day...we walked around town and ate at "Good-Time Cafe" then we went to dad's work for a few, and then took a drive out to Cayucos...the weather was so nice, we were there till about 5, it was t-shirt weather...Today Dennis and dad are tearing into the wall in the pantry...our shower is leaking really bad, so they are ripping the wall out to see  :o)

Visiting

Yesterday, we drove to Napa to visit our niece, Judy and nephew, Fred and niece-in-law Annette, and a real dear Friend, Michelle...we got up at 5am and got home around 8ish...we had a nice time, Judy lives in Idaho and was down visiting Fred & Annette, who are looking to live in Monterey instead of Spokane, Washington...which will be nice to have them close.

Just some awesome cloud formations and the sun shining on the clouds...enjoyed the evening sitting outside...had some Texas weather the last couple of days.

The weather was so nice, we didn't need our coats even in the evening...we mainly drove around and walked to Happy Isles...and had a picnic, was alot of fun

this video I was taking of some dolphins, when all of a sudden a wave came and got me wet and my camera

we took a long drive, one Sunday with dad & mom, ended up in Santa Barbara, it was a beautiful day!

Sunday we had breakfast at home, did some home chores, and then about noon went and had a yogurt...then we headed to Morey's beach house for some bible reading with John, Marjorie, Gene Smith, Norman and Sue, a very nice time being together...then Norn and I went to Dockside for early dinner, then drove over to Morro Rock and watched the surfers for awhile...a lovely day!

We were blessed to go and meet my sister Jan and Tim Brusseau in San Jose, where Tim was doing a job...we had a very nice visit...very enjoyable...Tim and Jan live in Stockton
