25th Bone Marrow Transplant Reunion

The ceremony was outside, we all got a sack lunch, turkey/cheese hoagie roll, apple, salad and a choco-chip cookie, all the water, lemonade or tea that we wanted

this is a part of the picture of all the bone marrow survivors, there was probably 150, from 10 yrs-25 yrs.

this is all the 20 years and over bone marrow survivors, the man second from the right is the very first recipient for a bone marrow transplant 25 years ago

alot of sweet people, this man had a transplant 2+ years ago

This is one of Lana's nurses she had 22 years ago

I thought Relay for Life was alittle emotional, but nothing compared to this, WOW...the testimonies of different ones who found God, or who strayed away and was brought back with their illness...words can't express the day. It also was a celebration of life, for one of the doctors who started the bone marrow transplant 25 years ago, he passed away in January, so alot of people told of experiences they had with that doctor, it was a very memorable day, and it was a real treat to be able to go with Tony and Lana and be a part of her reunion...WOW !!!

Mid State Fair 2013

Papa saw this and said here is DaraLynn's tractor...lol

our local business, McWilliams

you go up to the top and then it lets go, wow

picture from the freeway

Entrance to the fair

Dad hadn't been to a fair in a very long time, we didn't get to see any horse/cow shows due to the grand stand concerts, we went after 3 pm, so we missed the roping and all...we just walked around the rides, we'd never been over there, so it was a good day !!

San Diego VRBO

Kitchen area, no stove, just a microwave and a toaster oven, that was okay by me, we ate cold cereal for breakfast and ate out lunch and dinner, oh and check out the frig.

this was our dishes

Bathroom, it was fine

Full bed, it was okay, felt like we rolled to the middle, love their bed side lamps

Looking off into the distance is San Diego

looking from the road, it is the one on the right, sorry not a good picture

and this was the front room, across from the kitchen

It was a nice place even though it was small, but we just slept there anyway, it was really quiet and dark...we loved the peaceful mornings and evenings...we would sit out on the deck and eat our cereal and coffee, and in the evenings we would sit out for a few, but we were so so tired, we wouldn't get back to the cottage till 11 or so, we'd shower and fall in bed...the weather was so perfect, we left on Sunday to go home, of course had to stop at a FRY'S, :) Thankfully we had a few spots of traffic, but made it home safely...the poor people that were going south had stop and go several spots all the way from LA to Santa Barbara, we got home about 7, we took our time...Had a very LOVELY 4 days !!!!!

Sea World

Shamu show

getting people WET

Blue Horizon, dolphin, and bird show

Blue Horizon

Sea Lion show

Night time Shamu show, we weren't in a good spot for pictures, so this was the best one

of course we ended our night eating ice cream before heading to our cottage

I don't know why this picture ends up down here instead of in the order I put it, anyway day time Shamu

We went to the USS Midway first thing, to finish seeing the airplanes, so we didn't get to Sea World till around noon...so we got in most of the shows, no rides...dad isn't into that stuff, plus it was crowded, beings it was the weekend of the 4th. We had a nice time anyway, just being together.
