Dad and I took a drive to Dinky Creek area, to scope the area out...there was NO water in Dinky Creek
this is by Wishon Dam |
creek flowing from the dam |
there is a little spic on top of the dam, it is a black truck |
Dad caught 1 rainbow trout, but threw it back, we are definitely coming back, like in September |
The ants go marching one by one, Hurrah Hurrah...the ants were huge, the picture doesn't do justice |
The weather was so so nice, it was in the 100's at home, and 77 there, it was so relaxing, it was so nice to be able to sit and listen to the water falling over the rocks...and just sitting listening to God's creation !!!

25th Bone Marrow Transplant Reunion
The ceremony was outside, we all got a sack lunch, turkey/cheese hoagie roll, apple, salad and a choco-chip cookie, all the water, lemonade or tea that we wanted |
this is a part of the picture of all the bone marrow survivors, there was probably 150, from 10 yrs-25 yrs. |
this is all the 20 years and over bone marrow survivors, the man second from the right is the very first recipient for a bone marrow transplant 25 years ago |
alot of sweet people, this man had a transplant 2+ years ago |
This is one of Lana's nurses she had 22 years ago |
Mid State Fair 2013
Papa saw this and said here is DaraLynn's tractor...lol |
our local business, McWilliams |
you go up to the top and then it lets go, wow |
picture from the freeway |
Entrance to the fair |
Dad hadn't been to a fair in a very long time, we didn't get to see any horse/cow shows due to the grand stand concerts, we went after 3 pm, so we missed the roping and all...we just walked around the rides, we'd never been over there, so it was a good day !!

San Diego VRBO
Kitchen area, no stove, just a microwave and a toaster oven, that was okay by me, we ate cold cereal for breakfast and ate out lunch and dinner, oh and check out the frig. |
this was our dishes |
Bathroom, it was fine |
Full bed, it was okay, felt like we rolled to the middle, love their bed side lamps |
Looking off into the distance is San Diego |
looking from the road, it is the one on the right, sorry not a good picture |
and this was the front room, across from the kitchen |
It was a nice place even though it was small, but we just slept there anyway, it was really quiet and dark...we loved the peaceful mornings and evenings...we would sit out on the deck and eat our cereal and coffee, and in the evenings we would sit out for a few, but we were so so tired, we wouldn't get back to the cottage till 11 or so, we'd shower and fall in bed...the weather was so perfect, we left on Sunday to go home, of course had to stop at a FRY'S, :) Thankfully we had a few spots of traffic, but made it home safely...the poor people that were going south had stop and go several spots all the way from LA to Santa Barbara, we got home about 7, we took our time...Had a very LOVELY 4 days !!!!!
